Pre-Symposium Technical Rope Rescue Workshop

  • 1450 Greene Street Silverton, CO, 81433 United States (map)

*Limited to 12 students, sign up in Register

This year, the rigging workshop will focus on fundamental technical rigging techniques and patient care in high angle terrain.

We will provide instruction on various technical rigging solutions in both the classroom and at great field sites in the Silverton area. No previous experience is necessary, however, you will need to complete some pre-course work (learning rescue knots) and provide your own PPE (helmet, gloves, and a climbing harness).

During the course, you will be expected to perform patient assessments and treatments at a BLS level during realistic scenarios. As such, all students should hold a WFR (or higher) certification. You are required to have the ability to move in difficult terrain, ie uneven ground at elevation.
